I’m Teri Blanton. I live in Berea Kentucky and I’m an activist who works on clean energy and social justice
issues.
This website is about my work and the work of
countless people who are putting their efforts behind a brighter
future for underrepresented people everywhere. I don’t claim a lot
of personal credit for what you’ll find here. My only goal is to
make as many people aware of our struggles and the issues we face as
possible.
I believe that we have a future beyond fossil
fuels. I believe that people and the land should be treated with
respect. I believe that governments should represent all of their
citizens to the best of their ability, not just the ones with money
and power.
I’ve had the privilege of speaking before
like-minded organizations in more than a dozen states. I have had
the honor of taking our message to the Kentucky Legislature and the
Halls of Congress. I’ve visited some beautiful places, many of which
are threatened with destruction to feed our addiction to “cheap”
energy. And I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work
side-by-side with some truly remarkable people and groups along the
way. This site is about that work, those people, and those places.
Welcome to my site. There’s a lot of
information here and we’ll be adding things all the time, so come
back often. Hopefully, you’ll find it within your heart to add your
voice to the thousands who are already speaking out for change.
